We all need to increase our soccer IQ so that when we see our players’/kids’ aimlessly and needlessly kicking the ball away, we remind them that that’s not good soccer. Sport has all kinds of benefits for the participants. It should have benefits for the spectators too. For parents and coaches it can be satisfying to see kids improving and succeeding. It should also be entertaining. Seeing the team you cheer for win is entertaining but we know that they can’t always win. Therefore, seeing the team you cheer for play with skill, creativity and unity even when they lose, I believe, can be just as entertaining.
