Club Reaches Target of 60 Certified Volunteers for 2021 Season

Jun. 17, 2021

We did it! More than 60 individuals have taken training to provide them with certifications necessary to be involved in leading our club's children and youth-aged players. It certainly was a challenging process and at times seemed like it may have been too ambitious a goal to achieve. A big thanks to everyone that came forward and offered not only to volunteer but to take the time to get certified in order to provide a better experience to the players.

While we can all take a collective certification breath for this season, there will be additional certifications that will be required during the 2022 season. The goal was to try to phase these certifications in over a three year period, which was to have started in 2020. Unfortunately, the appearance of the Covid-19 pandemic last year caused havoc with our roll-out and left us doubling up on the number of certifications we needed our volunteers to obtain this year.

The Club will continue to reimburse volunteers for any certifications it requires them to have. Furthermore, we will continue to raise the bar in how we deliver our programming focusing around our core values of safety, fun and learning/challenge.
